Formula 1’s 2021 regulation overhaul was supposed to be a fresh start for the championship, but negotiations in recent months have stalled and the revised October deadline is fast approaching.

Discussions between the FIA and leading F1 teams over which changes to implement have reached a deadlock, with some suggesting the teams ultimately have too much power over which direction to take.

In this video, Gary Anderson joins Edd Straw to discuss what regulation changes should be introduced, the extent to which teams are acting in self-interest, and also gives his verdict on whether anything can be agreed in time for the final cut-off date.
