Video: The verdict on Formula 1’s 2021 plans

Formula 1

Formula 1 has now released its plans for an overhaul in 2021, but as ever the devil is in the detail.

Edd Straw and Scott Mitchell go through the inner workings of F1’s 2021 plans, including the key topic of ‘raceability’ with F1 claiming its current cars only have 55% maximum downforce when one car length behind a rival compared to an expected 86% in ’21.

The much-vaunted cost cap is also discussed as F1 teams and lawyers go through the details of the new rule, with consideration given as to whether it can truly create a level playing field.
